Save the Dodos (Mobile Game Project)


Save the Dodos is a game designed for mobile platforms which required us to keep an eye on the polygon count to keep geometry as optimized as possible. I sculpted several assets to get the general "look", then used different extraction techniques to get a good color base, or if the model was simpler, I would just paint the texture directly. Sculpt WIPS

Other sculpts I'm working on at the moment. Dynamesh makes it very easy to build up shapes and keep updating geometry so that there is nothing to hold you back from bringing different forms to life and give a clear picture of where you want to take a model before you build your final geometry.








BIO                                                                                              

My name is Marco Garcia, and I'm currently enrolled in UCF's Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy to become a digital artist in the Video-game Industry. I love playing video games and I'm lucky enough to be enrolled in a program where I'm actually working with other people to create them! Before I decided to enroll in FIEA, I was a freelance digital media artist and worked on several motion graphics and animation projects which has broadened my general knowledge of various 3d/animation packages.
